 A Toxophilite's Reflection on Our Beloved Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم)
In days of yore, a legend foretold Of a Prophet with a bow of gold, His arrows flew with precision rare, A master archer, brave and fair. With courage in his heart, he led his band To fight for justice, for their land, At Badr and Uhud, where foes did gather, His archery prowess did make them shudder. As arrows flew with deadly force, He stood with bravery, a noble source, Of inspiration for his comrades near, In battle, they conquered without fear. But beyond the battlefield of strife, The Prophet's message brought a new life, Of kindness, mercy, love, and grace, That still resonates in the human race. His Zen of archery, a higher art, Teaches us to master mind and heart, To find the perfect balance in our being, And live a life of purpose, far-seeing. Oh, Muhammad, your legacy lives on, A true warrior, whose kindness shone, May your arrows guide us on our way, As we seek to find the light of day. Ustadh H'AI'mid

We were honoured to have Master Alperen Alkan from Türkiye this weekend (6-7 Aug 2022) , who taught over 25 students the Three Schools of the three master Archers: (1) Abu Hashim al-Mawardi (2) Tahir al-Balkhi and (3) Ishaq al-Raqqi.
